At the Agritechnica 2017 Hannover Agricultural Machinery Exhibition held in Germany on November 12-18, 2017, JCB released the new compact wheeled agricultural loader 403.

New Product 403 Agri Farm Loader comes standard with a 0.3-cubic-meter bucket and asks for articulated frames for a variety of compact environments or inside buildings such as pig farms, poultry farms, dairy farms, nurseries and horse farms.

The main features of this new 403 loader are:

Kubota four-cylinder diesel engine rated at 26.5 kW (35.5 hp) and 92 Nm torque;

Two new hydrostatic drive systems are available: 20 km/h or 30 km/h;

Heavy-duty, open or manual differential locks on axles, suitable for hard or soft roads;

Daily maintenance at the rear hood;

Optional ROPS/FOPS protected full view, soundproofed cab;

Handle, arm armrest, can adjust height;

Optional standard loading arm or high lift loading arm with parallel lift and hydraulic quick change;

The standard parallel lifting loading arm design can effectively disperse the stress of the front frame structure.

JCB Agriculture general manager John Smith said: "The new 403 Agri is a result of the design team's meticulous design. It is equipped with a 0.3-square-load bucket. In addition to the 403Agri, there are two models of Agri -0.8 cubic meters of 407 and 1.0 cubic meters of 409. The proven Rexroth hydrostatic drive is also standard on this model.

It is equipped with a high-efficiency 1.5-liter Kubota diesel engine with an output of 26.5 kW (35.5 hp) and an output torque of 92 Nm. Hydrostatic two-speed gearbox can adapt to different application conditions. The high output torque and fine speed control are the main features of the gearbox. It is very important for the fine control of material excavation and loading operations. Standard 20kph gearbox, or optional 30kph to provide faster transfer job speed.

The brake pedal's micro-motion control can transfer the hydraulic power at the loading end to excavation and material lift without causing unnecessary wear on the brakes and transmission. Strong and durable ZF axles with open differentials transmit power and torque, and can also be manually controlled front and rear differential locks, usually for hard road conditions.

The JCB 403 Agri has excellent steering capability, a more compact turning radius, and a hinged frame with more precise material handling accuracy. Rugged hinges provide floating shock absorption for front and rear frames on rough or uneven floors.

The customer has two loading arms to choose from. The standard loading arm comprehensively considers the digging force, lifting capacity, lifting height of 2.6 meters. The optional loading arm lifts 2.8 meters and is suitable for loading stackers into high-bay trailers or trucks. Both loading arms have a parallel lifting function. The design method of loading stress dispersion on the frame is applied for a patent. It is suitable for installing a parallel fork to reduce the spillage of loose materials in the bucket.

A quick-change device with a hydraulic locking pin can be used to mount all types of attachments without leaving the cab. Level 2 electro-hydraulic isolation system prevents release of attachments caused by misoperation.

The 40.5 l/min gear pump quickly drives the loading boom to provide an adjustable constant flow hydraulic oil for the power attachment.

The panoramic view of the work will help the driver to observe the surrounding working environment. The large-size door with armrests and pedals will help the driver to safely get on and off. With a cab and narrow tires, the 403 operates at a height of less than 2.2 meters and a width of only 1.1 meters, allowing it to work even in tight areas.

The modern full-color dashboard in the cab provides drivers with access to all kinds of information, a position-adjustable steering wheel, and a perfect driving position.

The right-hand control panel has all kinds of rocker switches, storage compartments, control handles for loading arms and attachments, forward and backward switches, and high and low speed selector switches. The driver can operate the steering wheel in one hand and operate the entire machine's joystick in one hand.

A large number of adjustable air outlets can ensure the smooth circulation of indoor air. The front and rear window wipers are arranged rationally to ensure an all-round view of the room.

Daily inspection and maintenance are very convenient. Open the engine hood to complete the air filter, battery and liquid level inspection.
