The Secretariat of the National Green Manufacturing Technology Standardization Technical Committee stated that the first national standard in the field of machine tool remanufacturing, “Guidelines for the Remanufacturing of Green Manufacturing Metal Cutting Machine Tools,” has been approved and is expected to formally “work” in the near future.

“The standard is a basic standard, and its core content is to make detailed regulations on the process for the production of remanufactured machine tools. At the same time, it focuses on the requirements of some of the core indicators, and it can provide good guidance for companies engaged in the remanufacturing of machine tools. The main drafter of the standard, Cao Huajun, vice chairman of China Electromechanical Equipment Manufacturing Maintenance and Transformation Technology Association and director of the Chongqing Institute of Green Manufacturing Technology, was introduced.

According to reports, in addition to the forthcoming introduction of the first national standard, the first heavy-duty heavy-duty machine tool remanufacturing standards are currently being drafted, and other correspondingly different kinds of remanufactured machine tool product standards will also be gradually formulated. The establishment and improvement of the standard system will greatly benefit the quality of China's remanufactured machine tools, and will also promote the accelerated development of China's machine tool remanufacturing industry.

First, standard formulation is accelerating the remanufacturing of machine tools. It is the remanufactured waste machine tool that uses high and new technology to repair and upgrade, so that the technical performance of the remanufactured machine tool products is no less than new products. In some developed countries, the remanufacturing of machine tools has formed a relatively complete industrial chain.

At present, the development capability and level of new machine tool products in China have been continuously improved, and important breakthroughs have also been made in some core manufacturing fields of high-end CNC machine tools. However, the pace of development of machine tool remanufacturing is very slow, and it is not commensurate with the status of China's machine tool industry. In December 2009, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the first pilot units for remanufacturing of electromechanical products, including five pilot remanufacturing enterprises for machine tools. In May 2010, 11 departments including the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology listed machine tools as key areas for the development of remanufacturing industries.

According to Zeng Chencan, deputy general manager of Wuhan Huazhong Automation Co., Ltd., due to the lack of policy definitions and industry standards in the country, the concept of remanufacturing by the market and users is still blurred, and some users are skeptical about remanufactured products, especially precision. Whether or not a complex machine tool can achieve the desired results after remanufacturing.

“A lot of machine tool remanufacturing in China was developed on the basis of maintenance and transformation. Many companies do not have a complete understanding of machine tool remanufacturing, and the equipment, processes, etc. are not standardized and the quality is not guaranteed, which objectively restricts the market. The recognition of remanufactured machine tools has hindered the development of the machine tool remanufacturing industry." Cao Huajun said that the introduction of the first national standard provided a norm for the regulation of the company's production processes and laid the foundation for the introduction of other relevant standards. .

According to reports, the first national standard is not a specific product standard, but a guideline specification. It requests enterprises from the aspect of process to protect the interests of users of remanufactured machine tools. The standard focuses on the detailed stipulations for each key process, such as whether a component can be remanufactured, what kind of mechanical requirements the base component needs to be remanufactured, which must be re-washed, which must be replaced, and so on.

It has also become one of the industries supported and vigorously developed by the country, including auto parts, machine tools and many other industries. Cao Huajun told reporters that unlike the remanufacturing of auto parts and other industries, the remanufacturing of machine tools belongs to the remanufacturing of complete machine products. As a manufacturing industry with a long history, machine tools have developed rapidly in terms of intelligence, digitization, etc. In terms of movement, there has been no major change. This provides a good space for remanufacturing. 80% of the resources of a machine tool product can be reused. The remanufactured product may have better performance and quality than the new machine tool. Even better.

According to statistics, at present, China has more than 8 million machine tools. If conservatively estimated, according to 3% of annual machine tool scrap elimination rate calculation, more than 200,000 machine tools will be scrapped, idle, technical or functional phase out each year, accounting for about half of the annual new machine tool output (400,000 to 500,000 units) in China. about. During the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, more than 1 million machine tools will face various forms of scrap. These machine tools can be re-circulated through remanufacturing, creating a huge market demand.

It is understood that the remanufacturing of machine tools in developed countries in Europe and America has become an important part of the remanufacturing industry. There are more than 300 companies specializing in the remanufacturing of machine tools in the United States, and these remanufacturing companies also target large multi-functional machines, gear processing machines, and metal cutting. Different machine tools such as machine tools have been professionally classified. Germany, Japan, etc. have also extensively carried out the remanufacturing of machine tools.

In China, there are two major categories of companies currently engaged in the remanufacturing of machine tools. One is itself an enterprise engaged in the manufacture of machine tools. It re-adds remanufacturing production lines or establishes business units to remanufacture machine tools; the other is not itself A company engaged in the manufacture of machine tools but keen on the remanufacturing of machine tools. Most of the former prefer to remanufacture the type of machine tool manufactured by the company itself. The latter's remanufacturing covers most types of machine tools.
