Qilu Petrochemical successfully developed ultrasonic crude oil demulsification technology

A new technology with independent intellectual property rights that can be widely promoted and applied in refineries and can effectively promote the desalination and dehydration of crude oil processing has been successfully developed in Sinopec Qilu Branch. On February 20th, the expert group organized by the Science and Technology Development Department of Sinopec Corp. conducted a technical appraisal of the ultrasonic enhanced crude oil demulsification technology independently developed by Qilu Branch, and conducted on-site observation at Qilu Shengli Refinery. The technology has good crude oil demulsification and desalination effects, which is of great significance for reducing the production cost of oil refining enterprises.
It is understood that this ultrasonic crude oil demulsification technology researched and developed by Qilu Branch Research Institute and Shengli Refinery has obtained 4 Chinese patents and applied for 1 international patent; the technology is in Qilu Shengli Refinery After industrial application of the 3.5 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum degassing device, it only saves the cost of demulsifier and saves electricity. The annual direct economic benefit is more than 420 million yuan, and the indirect benefits are also very impressive. Experts said that the technology has reached the international advanced level and has a very important promotion and application value in the refining industry, especially in large-scale refineries of 10 million tons, which will bring a new revolution to the oil refining industry.
In recent years, China's refining industry has developed rapidly, the quality of refined oil products has been continuously upgraded, and the refinery's requirements for crude oil quality have also been continuously improved. It is understood that before the crude oil processing, the refinery must first carry out the necessary dehydration and desalination to remove impurities such as inorganic salts and water entrained in the crude oil to ensure the long, safe and stable operation of the subsequent processing equipment and the upgrading of the quality of the refined oil. .
At present, the common dehydration and desalination process of crude oil at home and abroad is heating, high-voltage electric field and adding demulsifier. For crude oils with relatively good quality such as emulsification, refineries generally use the heating-high-pressure electric field desalination process to meet production requirements. For crude oils that are heavily emulsified and require deep processing, refineries mostly use heating-high-voltage electric fields. - Chemical demulsifier combined with desalination process, but the effect is not satisfactory. Both of these processes require large amounts of electrical energy and chemical demulsifiers, which increases refinery production costs. To this end, the Qilu Petrochemical Research Institute began laboratory research on ultrasonic fortified crude oil demulsification technology in 2001. In June 2003, ultrasonic enhanced crude oil demulsification was carried out on the first-stage electric desalting tank of the atmospheric and decompression device of Qilu Shengli Refinery. The industrial test was successful. In November 2004, it was tested on the secondary electric desalting tank of the Shengli refinery atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit. In April 2005, the Shengli Oilfield Petrochemical Plant 1.5 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum degassing device Industrial applications have been carried out. In order to ensure that the ultrasonic output parameters can be adjusted in time as the nature of the crude oil changes, Qilu Research Institute has developed a DCS automatic control system for the ultrasonic demulsification device, so that the ultrasonic intensity can be automatically adjusted according to the change of the nature of the crude oil.
There are two implementations of the ultrasonic crude oil intensification demulsification technology researched and developed by Qilu Research Institute. One is the combination of ultrasonic and electric fields. Without the addition of chemical demulsifier, the crude oil salt can be less than 3mg/ l indicator requirements; the other scheme is to achieve the lower index requirement of crude oil after removal by the combined action of ultrasonic-demulsifier-electric field. In the industrial test, the crude oil processed by Qilu Petrochemical Shengli Refinery and Shengli Oilfield Petrochemical Plant has various varieties, and ultrasonic demulsification technology has shown good adaptability. By implementing the ultrasonic crude oil strengthening demulsification technology, it is possible to save a large amount of electric energy and demulsifier investment for the refining enterprise, and the production cost is greatly reduced.
