On June 17, PPG Industrial's first resin factory in China was officially put into operation. The plant is located in Zhangjiagang Yangzijiang International Chemical Industry Park, and its first-phase production capacity will reach 27,000 tons/year.
PPG's Zhangjiagang plant started construction in October 2009, covering a total area of ​​60,000 square meters. After being officially put into operation, it will provide electrocoat resin for automotive and industrial coatings customers in China and Asia.
PPG currently also has resin plants in the United States, Europe, Brazil, Australia, South Korea, and Mexico.
