China Drying Newsletter was invented by Sichuan Air Separation Equipment (Group) Co., Ltd., a major equipment localization project with 2 million cubic meters per day of natural gas liquefaction complete sets of equipment. It recently received special funds of 600,000 yuan in Sichuan Province.
The project is one of the major key product projects supported by the strategic emerging product development program in Sichuan Province. Since the product was included in the planning and implementation, Sichuan Air Subsidiary, jointly with Xi'an Jiaotong University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, jointly developed a single mixed refrigerant natural gas liquefaction technology and propane pre-cooled mixed refrigerant natural gas liquefaction technology, and developed 1 million 2 million cubic meters/day single mixed refrigerant liquefaction process and 12 million cubic meters/day propane precooling mixed refrigerant liquefaction process natural gas liquefaction complete equipment.
According to reports, the natural gas liquefaction technology used in this project is the first time that domestic companies have obtained research results in the field of large-scale natural gas liquefaction and has been applied in practice. In addition, the project also achieved major breakthroughs in the key technology research of aluminum plate-fin heat exchangers and LNG cold boxes for key components. The project team used aluminum plate-fin heat exchangers instead of coiled heat exchangers, which reduced the cost of product manufacturing and facilitated the localization of the device.
In another development, Sichuan Air Subsidiary has signed a contract for 2 million cubic meters per day of natural gas liquefaction equipment of 2 billion yuan. By the end of this year, the cumulative amount of contracts will reach 2.5 billion yuan. In 2013, the domestic market share will reach more than 60%.
