At the moment, Continental Tire announced that it will make tires using rubber extracted from the roots of Russian dandelion and hopefully it will be launched in 5-10 years.
The company said the dandelion's dependence on climate is much lower than the rubber tree. In addition, dandelion cultivation requirements are very low. Dandelion from planting to harvest just 1 year, while the rubber tree takes about 7 years to tapping.
