In order to speed up the coal-to-gas reform of coal-fired boilers, in 2014, Zaozhuang City allocated 32.884 million yuan of funds to co-ordinate project expenditures for the construction of coal-fired boilers such as coal-to-gas to improve atmospheric environmental quality. Among them, a total of 20 million yuan was invested, which was mainly used to subsidize the coal-fired boiler reform projects of municipal administrations and institutions, as well as awards for districts (municipalities) and high-tech zones; in conjunction with the city's environmental air quality ecological compensation, the districts were cumulatively arranged ( City) 128.84 million yuan, co-planned for the project area to improve the quality of the atmospheric environment project expenditures.
At the same time, all districts (cities) are required to follow the principle of “grading project implementation and raising funds at different levelsâ€, increase funding, actively establish a diversified funding mechanism for government, enterprises, and society, and adopt subsidy or loan interest subsidy to their territories. The transformation of coal-fired boilers will give subsidies.
As of the end of 2014, Zaozhuang City has concentrated on dismantling and transforming 305 coal-fired boilers in urban built-up areas, equivalent to 655.16 tons of steam and completing 109.3% of the annual tasks, laying a solid foundation for the successful completion of the established tasks in 2015.
