The first domestic 6K90MC-C host was tested in Dalian Shipai

On December 6, the first 6K90MC-C host in China was successfully tested in Dalian Marine Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. The main output of the mainframe is 27,420 kW (37,291 hp) and will be installed on the 4300 TEU container ship built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation for Singapore Taiping Shipping Company.
The excellent performance of the 6K90MC-C mainframe in the bench test has been well received by the shipowners, shipyards and ship inspections. In order to ensure the quality of the construction of the machine, in the technical preparation stage, the technicians carefully check the drawings, and use the three-dimensional model of the MAN patent company to simulate the large-scale components of the mainframe, and check and modify the dimensional errors of some drawings one by one. The piping and electrical pre-welding parts are also pre-arranged on the three-dimensional model of the mainframe and pre-planned to ensure that the piping systems do not interfere with each other during actual production assembly, and also avoids various troubles caused by on-site welding. In this way, the arrangement of the piping and electrical components after the main assembly is more reasonable, and the overall layout is more beautiful and generous.
After the 6K90MC-C mainframe entered the assembly stage, the shipowner was in a hurry to ship. In order not to delay the shipyard construction period, the company decided to carry out assembly and commissioning of the mainframe for 24 hours without rolling. All construction and related personnel carried out two shifts. Multi-departmental arrangements with the general assembly team to fully debug, problems and try to solve in the shortest possible time. The machine took less than 10 days from the test bench on the base to the end of the assembly. It took only 3 days from the first train to the delivery, which set the shortest record for the assembly and commissioning cycle of the DMD.
The 6K90MC-C mainframe is the newest new cylinder head built by the company this year.
