In recent updates from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Industry Promotion, it has been revealed that from January to May this year, Beijing's exports of auto parts reached nearly $100 million, marking a 16.8% increase compared to the same period last year. The majority of these exports—half of the total—were directed toward the United States, while the remaining portion was shipped to the United Kingdom, Canada, and Pakistan.
According to Fan Jian, the deputy director of the bureau, the production value of auto parts in Beijing during this period amounted to 2.9 billion yuan, representing a nearly 30% year-on-year growth. This accounted for 14% of the total output value of the automotive industry in the city.
Looking ahead, the Industrial Development Bureau plans to intensify efforts in promoting the development of the auto parts and components sector. A key focus will be on attracting investment by targeting companies from Germany, the United States, Japan, and South Korea. The bureau also aims to establish specialized channels to facilitate foreign investment and strengthen Beijing’s position in the global automotive supply chain.
With these strategic moves, Beijing is positioning itself as a growing hub for auto parts manufacturing and export, aiming to boost its industrial competitiveness and expand international partnerships. The continued growth in this sector reflects the city's commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable development in the automotive industry.
