In a recent report from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Industry Promotion, it was revealed that auto parts exports from Beijing reached nearly $100 million between January and May this year, marking a 16.8% increase compared to the same period last year. The majority of these exports, approximately half, were directed toward the United States, while the remaining portion found its way to the United Kingdom, Canada, and Pakistan.
According to Fan Jian, the deputy director of the bureau, the total production value of auto parts in Beijing during this period amounted to 2.9 billion yuan, representing an almost 30% year-on-year growth. This figure accounted for 14% of the entire automotive industry's output value.
Looking ahead, the Industrial Development Bureau plans to prioritize the growth of the auto parts and components sector. As part of this strategy, they will target companies based in Germany, the United States, Japan, and South Korea, aiming to establish specialized channels for attracting foreign investment. These efforts are expected to further strengthen Beijing's position as a key player in the global automotive supply chain.
The bureau is also exploring ways to enhance collaboration with international partners, focusing on innovation, technology transfer, and sustainable development. With the growing demand for high-quality auto components worldwide, Beijing's auto parts industry is well-positioned to capitalize on new opportunities and expand its global footprint.
