Division 16 covers just three fire departments but spans about 100 square miles, including 19 fire stations. The departments are Downers Grove, Lisle Woodridge, and Naperville. Recently, Downers Grove and Naperville have been added to the system with their combined 14 stations. Currently, five stations from the Lisle Woodridge Fire District are now listed on the site.

This image shows a specialized unit from MABAS Division 16, highlighting the collaborative efforts across multiple departments in emergency response.

Among the five stations operated by Lisle Woodridge Fire District, three are located in the Village of Lisle and two in the Village of Woodridge. The department maintains four engines, two trucks, one battalion chief, and four medic units. One of the medic units only operates for 12 hours daily. Neither of the truck companies—comprising one ladder and one platform—carries water or has a pump.

Historically, Lisle Woodridge had a fully E-ONE suppression fleet and Freightliner/Life Line ambulances for medical services. Today, while several E-ONE units remain, they are gradually being replaced by Pierce models. Currently, both fire trucks and two of the engines are made by Pierce. The ambulance fleet still uses Life Line units, though the older Freightliner FL60 chassis are being swapped out for IHC 4300 models.

Lisle Woodridge 1984 Spartan Gladiator EONE rescue unit

This unique unit, without a specific assignment, was among the first super-command-cab vehicles built by Spartan in 1984. These large cabs were introduced to the fire service and were used by suburban Chicago departments, including this E-ONE rescue, a Frontline rescue for North Palos, and an FMC pumper for Fox Lake. The square design didn't last long, as contoured cabs soon became more popular.
