(NASDAQ: ADSK) has officially announced its agreement to acquire Upchain, a leading provider of cloud-based product lifecycle management (PLM) and product data management (PDM) solutions. We’re excited to confirm that the acquisition of Upchain is now complete. Learn more about this milestone [here](#).
Upchain has developed a unified cloud platform that breaks down the traditional barriers of PLM and PDM systems. By placing data at the core of the product development process, it helps manufacturers manage complexity more effectively and streamline cross-functional teamwork.
“Resilience and collaboration are more important than ever for manufacturers facing increasingly complex product development challenges,†said Andrew Anagnost, President and CEO of Autodesk. “Our goal is to provide the most powerful end-to-end design and manufacturing platform in the cloud. The integration of Upchain’s technology will enable our customers to move data freely, unlock valuable insights, and drive innovation across their organizations.â€
Autodesk remains committed to an open data strategy, ensuring compatibility not only with its own tools like Inventor, AutoCAD, and Fusion 360, but also with other widely used CAD systems in the industry.
Scott Reese, Executive Vice President of Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions at Autodesk, added, “This acquisition is a key step in meeting our customers where they are. It removes collaboration barriers and bridges the gap between data and process management. In today’s fast-paced manufacturing environment, having instant access to data across the product value chain is essential for agility and speed to market.â€
Upchain serves a wide range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, transportation, entertainment, and textiles. Its platform has helped companies of all sizes improve efficiency and communication throughout the product lifecycle.
John Laslavic, CEO and Founder of Upchain, said, “At Upchain, we’ve always focused on transforming how teams collaborate in the cloud. We believe that everyone should have the right data at the right time. Autodesk shares our vision of simplifying collaboration across the entire value chain, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together.â€
