New ambulance for the Hammond FD

Congratulations and thank you to Chief Jeff Smith and the entire team at the Hammond Fire Department for their recent acquisition of two Road Rescue medium-duty UltraMedic ambulances. These state-of-the-art units will be built on 2022 International MV chassis and feature a 170-inch long all-aluminum walk-thru module with 72 inches of interior headroom. The ambulances are fully customized with a range of advanced features, including 6-inch dropped skirts, integrated rear chevron lighting systems, Pioneer LED scene lighting, and Brigade’s 360-degree overhead view camera system. Each unit also comes equipped with Stryker Performance Load Cot Systems, ensuring efficient patient handling and transport.

In terms of safety and comfort, these ambulances are outfitted with Per4Max seatbelt restraint systems, CN-10 compliant cabinet doors, a safety net at the head of the squad bench, and a LiquidSpring Suspension System that enhances ride quality and patient comfort. With Road Rescue’s renowned engineering and reliability, these new ambulances are set to serve the busy Hammond Fire Department for many years to come.
