This is a report from Josh Boyajian:
This afternoon (Thursday, October 6, 2016), firefighters from the Bedford Park Fire Department arrived at 6650 South Oak Park Avenue to find smoke billowing from a two-story commercial building. Upon arrival, the first responding engines quickly deployed their hoses while Tower 709 and Truck 31 directed water onto the roof. Inside, companies found heavy smoke filling a recycling center located within the structure. Multiple handlines were utilized to extinguish the flames. At the conclusion of the operation, MABAS 10 MVU was employed to clear out the remaining smoke.
