Effects of Different Temperatures on Germination of Tartary Buckwheat Seeds

At different temperatures, the germination rate of Tartary Buckwheat seeds was significantly different. With the increase of temperature, the germination rate of seeds increased. When the temperature reached 30°C, the germination rate decreased. When the germination temperature was 5°C, the germination rate was only 12%. %, and the growth of the germ is slow. When the germination is over, the bud length is only 2~3mm, which means the temperature is too low and is not conducive to the germination of the buckwheat seeds. The germination rate (25%) at 10°C is 2.08 times that of 5°C. The difference was extremely significant (p≤0·01); the germination rates at 15°C, 20°C, and 25°C increased by 0·52, 1.04, and 1.24 times, respectively, compared with 10°C, and the differences among the four were extremely significant. 30 The germination rate of °C was slightly lower than that of 25°C.
