After that, Maersk will also purchase 11 ships of the same size from the company for the construction of the Emma sister ship. It is reported that two of them will be delivered to Maersk by the end of the year.
"Emma" is a large ocean ship that Maersk has just put into use. It is also the world's longest hull container ship with the largest container capacity. In order to find a suitable anchor supplier for "Emma", Maersk spent more than a year inspecting China's ship fittings enterprises. Finally, in August last year, it signed a supply agreement with Dazu Xingye Ship Parts Co., Ltd.
The "Emma" anchor has cost 35 tons of scrap steel and alloy accessories, which is the world's number one in terms of weight and size. After the anchor was made, it took almost two months to ship it from Chongqing to Denmark.
