The 1075 combine harvester's electronic fuel pump is manufactured in France. However, due to issues with the electrical circuit and oil quality, it is designed to avoid fuel failure. That said, if problems do occur, they can typically be traced back to either a circuit issue or an oil-related fault.
a. Circuit Failure
If the electronic fuel pump does not respond when the power switch is turned on, the first step is to disconnect the pump and connect its positive and negative terminals directly to the battery’s corresponding poles. If the pump starts working, this indicates a problem with the wiring or the circuit itself. In such cases, you should inspect the wiring for any damage, loose connections, or corrosion. If the pump still doesn’t operate after this test, it suggests that the internal electronics of the pump are faulty, and the entire unit will need to be replaced.
b. Oil Fault
If the diesel fuel is excessively dirty, it can cause the electronic pump to malfunction. When the circuit is activated, the pump may produce a sound—either a single noise or a continuous but weak one. This usually means that debris or contaminants have clogged the internal components. To resolve this, the pump should be removed and disassembled. The internal parts responsible for pumping the fuel should then be cleaned thoroughly using clean diesel. After reassembly, the pump should function properly again. It's important to regularly check and maintain the fuel filter to prevent such issues from recurring.
