This past week, several local fire departments took advantage of the milder weather to conduct ice dive training in frozen bodies of water. The MABAS Division 3 Dive Team held their drills at the Underwriters Laboratories campus in Northbrook. Tim Olk was on-site capturing the action and shared a few compelling images from the session.

The training focused on essential ice diving procedures, including equipment checks, communication protocols, and emergency response techniques. These drills not only help maintain the readiness of the teams but also serve as an opportunity for experienced divers to mentor newer members.
