Singapore will launch watch payment with 3D map

People in Singapore can look forward to paying for their watches or using 3D maps to find the best Nasi Lemak in the near future. The Monetary Authority of Singapore is considering simplifying different modes of payment, which may require a watch with a chip or a ring. Consumers will therefore not have to carry too much cash with them. Over time, Singaporeans will be able to use the same payment devices to conduct transactions. And the Virtual Singapore project will also compile local buildings, land and environmental data into 3D maps. This is a project plan launched today by the United States National Research Foundation, the Singapore Land Administration Authority and the Information and Communications Development Authority.
Virtual Singapore is upgrading its current OneMap map to an online map, which includes more than 8,000 datasets. After upgrading the 3D map, it not only allows users to visit, but also provides some dynamic information such as animal trails, potential driving bicycles, and even people can find the best nasi lemak. HDB is also working with the industry to research and support the digital infrastructure required for HDB smart devices. Will start next year. In order to improve elderly care, the HDB is piloting a smart elderly monitoring and early warning system in 12 units.
