Mining is segmented with trackless equipment. The annual ore output is 870,000 tons and the ore depletion rate is 20%. In order to reduce the production cost, the non-mineral waste rock is pre-sorted by heavy medium, so the ore processed by the flotation plant is 710,000 tons per year.
Deposit and ore
The Megan deposit is a primitive sedimentary rock that was produced in the Devonian limestone, hard sandstone and shale mineralization zones. The average thickness of the deposit is 3 meters.
The ore consists of 85% sulfide ore and 15% gangue. The main useful minerals pyrite, 67%, 16% sphalerite, galena 2%, a small amount of white iron and trace mineral brass. Very fine sphalerite and galena are embedded in large pyrite. The gangue is mainly a silicate mineral. The ore grade: zinc 8.3%, lead 1.2%, iron sulfide (FeS2) 65%.
