On Thursday evening, the Wheeling and Prospect Heights Fire Departments responded to an industrial emergency at the Crescent Cardboard Company located at 100 West Willow Road. A worker had his arm trapped between the rollers of a cardboard-pressing machine, prompting a rapid response from firefighters. The rescue operation took nearly 70 minutes as crews worked carefully to free the injured man without causing further harm. Once the arm was safely released, Flight For Life was called in to transport the patient to a trauma center for immediate medical care.
